Fluoride is one of the best ingredients you could use in your daily toothpaste; it has very powerful anti-cavity, anti-plaque, and remineralising abilities. So there's no surprise why many countries include it in their drinking water.
The primary reason why we don't include sodium fluoride in our toothpaste is that the majority of our community prefer fluoride-free products. The decision to not include fluoride came with the responsibility of creating a toothpaste that still provided all of the important daily oral care benefits. To ensure this we haven't just relied on 1 ingredient, but instead the combined effects of 5 different ingredients.
Hydroxyapatite (HAp) - is the main component of our teeth. The synthetic version we use is a biocompatible material that replaces minerals back into damaged parts of the enamel which in time helps protect your teeth.
Arginine - is used to inhibit and destabilise oral biofilm (dental plaque) formation.
Xylitol - reduces cariogenic bacteria levels to promote enamel remineralisation and prevent dental caries.
Sodium Hexametaphosphate - is used to prevent stain and bacteria formation on the tooth surface. Additionally, it helps to reduce tartar build-up and absorption stains.
Potassium Citrate - is used in our formulation due to its superior properties in the relief of sensitivity.
These 5 core ingredients boast a wide variety of effective oral care benefits and provide comprehensive daily care.
